This document sets out the terms and conditions between CryptoBilis and you when you register for any event or conference, or afterparty organized by CryptoBilis. By registering for an event or conference or afterparties organized by CryptoBilis you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions. You should read this document carefully.
ACCEPTANCE OF POLICIES AND REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
The following CryptoBilis Registration Terms & Conditions (the “Terms & Conditions”) apply to all CryptoBilis events. Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained herein. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register.
Submission of a registration is regarded as an affirmation of your acceptance of the Event Terms & Conditions.
1. REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION AT THE EVENT
1.1. Your registration entitles you to admittance to the Event. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including without limitation any travel and/or accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you and CryptoBilis shall have no liability for such costs.
1.2. The registration for participation in the Event is made via the data form on the Event website. You do not need to print the tickets. Do ensure correct information is provided.
1.3. Your registration will be confirmed by email. Upon receipt of your ticket, do keep the order number for references.
1.4. You acknowledge that CryptoBilis reserves the right to request your removal from the Event if CryptoBilis or its co-organizers, in its sole discretion, considers your presence and/or behaviour to create a disruption or to hinder the Event and/or the enjoyment of the Event by other attendees or speakers.
1.6. You acknowledge and agree that CryptoBilis, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue and time. We are entitled to cancel the Event at any time for good cause (e.g. in cases of force majeure, too few participants, etc.). In such a case, you will be informed immediately of the cancellation.
2. How we will use your information
2.1. CryptoBilis is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information. Information on how CryptoBilis collects, processes, and uses your data is included in the CryptoBilis Privacy Policy which is hereby incorporated into these Terms & Conditions. Additionally, by submitting your email address during the event registration process, you agree that CryptoBilis and its event partners may send you event-related information. A valid email address is required for all registrations.
2.2. CryptoBilis uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation in this
event. Your data may also be processed by our co-organizers. This may include information about the event’s content, event logistics, payment, updates, and additional information related to the event.
2.3. CryptoBilis may disclose your personal data to third party service providers engaged by CryptoBilis to assist in the conduct of the event. In the event these collaborative entities are located outside Malaysia, an international transfer of data will take place. Information you provide when registering for or participating in an event managed or co-sponsored by parties other than or in addition to CryptoBilis may be shared with those parties, and the treatment of such information is further subject to the privacy policies of those parties. Except as described herein, CryptoBilis will not disclose your personal data to any other third party without your consent except where required to do so by law.
2.4. You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and oppose your personal data. You may exercise this right by contacting us at [email protected].
3. EVENT CONDUCT AND SAFETY
3.1. CryptoBilis is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment to all participants at CryptoBilis-related events. CryptoBilis has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at CryptoBilis-related events. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others.
3.2. Firearms, weapons, fireworks, or explosives are not permitted in all of CryptoBilis-related events.
3.3. You may not bring alcohol or drugs into the event venue or entering the venue while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or performance enhancing drugs. CryptoBilis has zero tolerance for drug abuse and will take the immediate action of reporting the attendee to the local law enforcement.
3.4. What to do if you witness or are subjected to unacceptable behaviour: Participants should report any behaviour inconsistent with these principles to onsite event crew. Event crew will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
4. LIABILITY WAIVER & RELEASE
4.1. In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in the event, I hereby warrant and represent that I am age 18 or above and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue CryptoBilis or its members, employees, board members, agents, or volunteers for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, disability, property damage, or property theft or actions of any kind that I may hereafter suffer or sustain before, during, or after the event, unless said expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, disability, property damage or property theft or actions of any kind is caused by the sole, gross negligence of CryptoBilis. This Liability Waiver and Release is specifically binding upon my heirs and assigns and is knowingly given.
4.2. I understand that my properties present at the Event are there at my expense and risk. CryptoBilis does not concern itself with the security or insurance of the goods. You are liable for and must take out adequate insurance against any and all loss or damage of any nature, whichever caused by your acts or omissions. You indemnify CryptoBilis against any and all claims that third parties may bring against CryptoBilis in connection with your acts or omissions.
5. SERVICE AS AN INVITED SPEAKER
5. If you agree to speak at a CryptoBilis sponsored event, we may share your contact and biographical information with event attendees. Sometimes we may also request a photograph. In other cases, we post on the respective event website information such as your name, employer, physical work address, work email address, as well as a link to your company website and/or professional LinkedIn page available to the public. This is so that visitors to the event website, including event attendees and speakers, can contact you with questions and requests for more information, and to provide feedback if needed. Additionally, speakers may be asked to complete a release agreement or copyright form prior to their presentation.
6. CORPORATE PRESENCE
6. All Event attendees under the Corporate Pass will be treated as a regular attendee and agrees to these terms and conditions. We may share your brand information with event attendees. Sometimes, we may also request a photograph of the founder(s) or representative and a softcopy of your brand logo. In other cases, we use this information to post on the respective event website, event presentation, photobooths alongside other information such as your founders/representative name, photo, logo’s as well as a link to your company website to the public. This is so that visitors to the event, event website, including event attendees and speakers, can contact you with questions and requests for more information, and to provide feedback if needed.
7. USAGE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC AND VIDEO MATERIAL TAKEN AT CRYPTOBILIS EVENTS
7.1. In general audio, image, and video recording is permitted at the event. To comply with global data privacy laws, CryptoBilis may impose certain restrictions on the use of multimedia at its events (e.g. photography, video, audio, online streaming, and all future mediums). An attendee is permitted to use hand-held cameras and/or smart phones to take photographs and capture digital images for personal, provided the photography is not disruptive.
7.2. During the event, the organisers and their partners will make photo and video recordings. By entering the event venue, participants give their irrevocable consent to these recordings being made and the free use of their pictures/video shots and voice recordings for photography and video and/or audio recordings made by the organisers or their partners in the context of the event; as well as to the subsequent Internet exploitation on the websites of the organisers and their partners; in the programme of current or follow-up events; and in promotional press reports on the part of the organisers.
7.3. CryptoBilis may hire professional service providers (photo/video/streaming/audio) to document and display the event experience. CryptoBilis may also use social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Telegram or Twitter) to: (i) post real-time photos and videos to its social media feeds; and (ii) display select submissions from those feeds on monitors throughout the event venue. Attendees and sponsors are encouraged to capture their event experiences and post their own social content from the event (text, photos, audio, video, streaming), provided it does not infringe upon the rights of any attendee, sponsor, third party, or CryptoBilis. Such infringement would include, but is not limited to, defamation or infringement of intellectual property rights. In the event an attendee requires a release or permission to protect the rights of a third party, obtaining such a release or permission shall be the sole responsibility of the attendee.
7.4. By attending the event, you acknowledge and agree as follows: (a) CryptoBilis may edit and use footage it captures at the event for marketing and promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary
course of its business; and (b) due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices in today’s world, CryptoBilis disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in any multimedia format by other attendees at the event.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
8.1. All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, the Event content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by CryptoBilis, its parent company CB International Sdn Bhd. and/or the Event sponsors or speakers presenting at the Event. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the Event, in any Event content and/or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Event for any reason without the prior written permission of CryptoBilis.
8.2. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to vest in you any legal or beneficial right in or to any trademarks or other intellectual property rights owned or used under licence by CB International Sdn Bhd. or any of its affiliates or grant to you any right or licence to any other intellectual property rights of CB International Sdn Bhd or its affiliates, all of which shall at all times remain the exclusive property of CB International Sdn Bhd. and its affiliates.
9. MISCELLANEOUS
9.1. CryptoBilis reserves the right to change, amend, add, or remove any of the above Terms & Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors).
9.2. The views expressed by any event attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor are not necessarily those of CryptoBilis. All attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors are solely responsible for the content of all individual or corporation presentations, marketing collateral, and/or advertising.
9.3. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the subject matter of these Terms. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous representations, understandings, agreements, or communications between you and us, whether written or verbal, regarding the subject matter of these Terms. We will not be bound by, and specifically object to, any term, condition, or other provision that is different from or in addition to the provisions of these Terms (whether or not it would materially alter these Terms). If we provide a translation of the English version of these Terms, the English version of these Terms will control if there is any conflict.
9.4. This contract is governed by the laws of Malaysia.
9.5. Jurisdiction for disputes arising from contracts or in relation to the particular event is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
